Tottenham have reportedly joined the race to sign Lazio ace Keita Balde, although the 22-year-old won’t come cheap as he has a £30m price-tag.

The Senegalese international enjoyed his most productive season to date last year, scoring 16 goals and providing six assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.

With so much room for improvement and a great deal of ability already on display, it’s no real surprise to see top Premier League sides linked with an interest, and Tottenham are seemingly set to add to their name to the list.

According to The Mirror, Keita is refusing to sign a contract extension with Lazio, thus casting major doubt over his future at the Stadio Olimpico.

In turn, he could be sold this summer by the Serie A outfit as they will not want to lose him for nothing next summer, although they are demanding a hefty £30m for his services.

Juventus is said to be his preferred destination, although Everton, Liverpool and Tottenham are all set to try to prise him to England it seems, and it would be a sensible addition as far as Mauricio Pochettino goes.

The Argentine tactician will be looking to bolster his squad this summer as Tottenham look to compete both domestically and in the Champions League, and Keita would add pace, movement, goals and a lot more to his front line if he were to choose Spurs.

Time will tell what he decides to do, but one thing that is certain though, is that any interested club should be driving his price-tag down as ultimately while he’s a talented player, he’s surely not worth £30m, especially with his contract situation as it is.
