Liverpool are considering their next move in their efforts to sign Piotr Zielinski after Udinese claimed AC Milan had joined the bidding.

The Reds are mulling over improving their £11.75million offer after it was rejected by Udinese.

They feel this is a fair price for the Poland international, who has spent the last two seasons on loan at Empoli, and may end their interest because of Udinese's tough stance.

Udinese would prefer to sell Zielinski to Napoli, but the midfielder, who played in Poland's win over Ukraine at Euro 2016, is keen on a move to Anfield.

Now Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo claims Milan have entered the race.

"Zielinski has attracted the interest of many clubs, including Milan," said Pozzo.

"I can say no more. We had an agreement with Napoli, but they failed to find an agreement with the player.

"We have to see how things will develop in the future. What's for sure is that each party must be satisfied before closing the deal."
