Liverpool set a new club record on Tuesday night as they recorded their biggest away win in Europe against Maribor.

The 7-0 scoreline beat the previous best of 5-0 - a margin the Reds have achieved three times previously on their travels in the continent.

Their first record away victory in Europe was 1964 against Reykjavik. They equalled that in 1976 away to Crusaders, and did it again in 2001 against the Finnish side FC Haka.

The Reds have also equalled the biggest win away from home in Champions League history. Marseille achieved it in November 2010 with a 7-0 win away to MSK Zilina and Shakhtar Donetsk also won by the same scoreline away to BATE in October 2014.
